PPTP and L2TP VPN connectivity is offered as an operating system option on many devices. Windows and Mac offer it as part of their operating systems. Additionally, most high-end cell phones and mobile devices, such as the iPhone and Android based phones offer this type of connectivity in their operating system. Apple and Android based tablets also offer PPTP and L2TP built in to the device.
SurfBouncer Personal VPN is based upon the highly secure OpenVPN software and is a superior way to accomplish a secure and reliable VPN. The only time you would need PPTP or L2TP on a computer is when you do not have admin rights to install the OpenVPN software. Because PPTP and L2TP are included with all Windows and Mac systems, it provides a better-than-nothing option.
Many mobile devices, however, do not have an OpenVPN client available. Which leaves PPTP or L2TP as the only option.

OpenVPN Service:
Unlike PPTP and L2TP, OpenVPN is not installed as part of the operating system on any iOs or Android device. OpenVPN can be downloaded and installed from both the Apple and Mac App Stores as an additional option for your phone.
